Rental rules

No smoking or vaping. A $150 cleaning fee applies if a car or the boat smells of smoke.
No booking or service fees: you pay the rental, Florida sales tax and the Florida state rental car surcharge ($2/day, required by state law, F.S. 212.0606). Florida sales tax follows where you get the car: 7% for home pickup in Trinity (Pasco County) or delivery to PIE (Pinellas County), 7.5% for delivery to TPA (Hillsborough County).
Tolls: Tolls are passed through at cost only. You’ll never be charged more than the receipt.
Airport parking: Airport parking is passed through at cost: Tampa International (TPA) up to $22, St. Pete-Clearwater International (PIE) up to $25, never more.
Car pricing: the daily rate covers 24 hours from your pickup time. There is a 2-day minimum, so any trip under 48 hours is billed as 2 days (Camry: 1 day = $98). After the first full days, extra hours are billed at the daily rate ÷ 24 (Jeep, 3 days 6 hours: 3 × $69 + 6 × $69 ÷ 24 = $224.25).
Mileage (cars): 200 miles/day included, then $0.29/mile. Unlimited mileage is +$20/day.
Airport delivery (optional): $40 to TPA or PIE, only if you choose it.
Pickup: 24/7 contactless lockbox pickup in New Port Richey.
Boat: bareboat (demise) charter: you take full possession and control of the boat, and no one from WhiteCap Rides is aboard. A USCG-licensed captain (OUPV/"6-pack" or higher) is required to operate it; you choose Capt. Mike Venezia (recommended) or Capt. Tom Van Sickle. The captain’s fee is paid by you directly to your captain through our site at checkout. $74.99/hr boat + $60/hr captain = $134.99/hr boat plus captain, plus 7% Florida sales tax on the whole charter; 3 to 10 hours, 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 7 days a week; Longer trips save more: 5% off the boat at 4 hrs, 10% at 5, 15% at 6, 20% at 7+ (the captain’s fee is not discounted). Up to 9 guests including you, plus your captain (10 aboard max). Delivered with a full tank; return it full or pay the documented refuel cost. Delivery to the public ramp you pick: Anclote River Park, Seminole Street (Clearwater) or Belleair Causeway. Kids under 6 wear a life jacket while underway (Florida law). $500 refundable security deposit: a pre-authorization hold for incidentals, not charged up front and not part of the total.
Driver age: 21 or older on the first day of the rental, for you and every added driver.
Insurance: Your personal auto insurance must be active for your whole rental, extend to rental cars, and include at least Florida’s required minimums ($10,000 personal injury protection and $10,000 property damage liability) plus collision and comprehensive coverage for damage to or theft of the car. Proof of insurance is required at booking. You’re responsible for your deductible and for any damage or loss your policy doesn’t cover.
Cancellations: free before you pay. After you pay: full refund more than 24 hours before the start; within 24 hours, cars are refunded minus one day’s rental rate and the boat is refunded 50%; no refund for a no-show. Full policy
